Happy New Year! :)

Good bye Year 2010,
And a BIG Hello to Year 2011!

Year 2010 has been a not-too-bad year for me,
For I have enrolled for further studies to get a degree;
For I have not stopped partying - just cutting down on frequency;
For I have went for braces to correct my teeth alignment ~ 2 years of commitment;
For I have not stopped enjoying good food - just making sure I stayed in shape;
For I have not loving and cherishing the people around me.

May the New Year 2011 be a better year for me and my loved ones.

Yes, you are right, no NY resolutions this time round as I do not want to be disappointed for not being able to achieve any one of them again... :)

Boxing Day

Met the gorgeous ladies for a post-Christmas lunch - 3 short 1 @ Sushi Tei

Jiamin and ME - had a blue dress on me which doesn't suit my usual style. Kinda regret?

Meiru and Christina

As usual, we ordered many dishes to share.
Some dishes are the common ones we always had, some dishes are just new and ordered by ME.

Sashimi salad with Sushi Tei dressing

Jiamin's scallop + egg rice

Meiru's favourite Fried Gyoza, anywhere and everywhere.

Sushi Tei Mango roll

My main course - Nokkemori ($20)which consists of Salmon Roe, Raw Scallop, Sea Urchin, Minced Tuna on cucumber maki.

Something new and weird - Nothing's wrong trying new things, agree? :)

Comments of the new dish after tasting:
ME : Salmon roe never fails to surpise me whenever I bite and it pops in my mouth.
OTHERS: Ok, normal to the taste buds.

ME : Raw scallop is damn raw and chewy. I decided to shabu-shabu it.
OTHERS : Rubber bands, eeks!

ME : The sea urchin tastes buttery like avocado! I finally know how it tastes!
OTHERS : *Tasted a little, spat out, drank lots of water*

ME : Minced tuna, really reminds me of minced raw meat, just that I have not tasted it before.
OTHERS : *Tasted a little, spat out, drank lots of water* *curse and swear*

Group pico :)

The best pico shot as evidence of the great amount of food we ordered....
Note: We are always cautious of the thought of the hunger faced in other countries, hence we have finished all the food we ordered. We have not wasted food :)

Christmas Day

Had a cook-it-yourself Christmas feast at DearBoy's place on Christmas.

My contribution has always been the same - Bacon Wraps.
Hee! That seems to be the best dish I can come up with - be it potluck or BBQ gatherings.

The uncooked version - bacon wrapped with golden mushrooms, asparagus and prawn on the left, bacon wrapped with quail eggs on the right.

Bow-tie pasta prepared by DearBoy's sister

And the mixed mushroom + asparagus left-overs from my dish by the sister's BF.

Chilli crab prepared by his Mother - this is just the pincers.

Pork ribs marinated by the supermarket, grilled to perfection by DearBoy.

Chilli crab part 2: The leggies and bodies.

Pig trotter cooked by the supermarket, reheated and grilled to crispy skin!

Not forgetting the appetizer - rock melon pairing up with ham to go with white wine.

My food contribution - grilled to perfection by DearBoy and his oven.

My 4th Christmas log cake this Christmas - Fudge cake from CakeAvenue.com

MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY DIETING!

Christmas Eve

Taken a day off from work to enjoy a longer festive weekend!

Went around Singapore in the early afternoon - to collect Christmas log cake etc.

Annie's place for lunch with the other ladies :)

Theresa bought a log cake from Raffles Hotel to share.

I'm mean. But Jayvier purposely leaned his face onto the glass door and made such a funny shot :x

Jayden and Jiawen. I purposely popped in front of the television to get them to pose for my pico. Haha!

Theresa and the kids, playing Christmas songs on the piano. Sweet~

Christmas evening was spent with my maternal family at my aunt's place

I arrived at the house pretty late, hence did not have the chance of capturing delicious food shots.

DearBoy and I

Christmas log cake from Bengawan Solo - surprisingly, it tasted good!

ME, a bit red from the wines, and the antique camera which my mum and her siblings had gotten when they were in their teenage years. Excitingly OLD!

Meet Cookie - and I only realised that the dog is a SHE, after so long....

My Christmas loot to end the year 2010 well :)

Not forgetting the Christmas log cake which DearBoy had gotten for my family from M Hotel :)

Christmas Party in Office

Organised the Christmas party in the department with the help of my team mates :)

The gifts, pending to be exchanged during the afternoon tea session.
Check out my dancing Christmas tree
video was posted in my FaceBook, singing and dancing away..)

My team's contributions to the weekly department afternoon tea.
Since it is a Christmas party, we made some finger food with the Christmas-air!

Cheese slices wrapped with ham

Soda crackers with salmon spread

Delicious healthy sandwiches with ham, tomato and lettuce.

Jon's birthday celebration coincides with the Christmas week...

And we decided to celebrate his 3Xth birthday with the department of approximately 50pax. (snapshot of the crowd in the dry pantry)

Birthday boy with his big big kinky cake!

Great thanks to all the people who have made the Christmas party a success and an enjoyable event! :)

And to the secret person who had drawn my name and gotten my toiletries from Marks&Spencer!

If you got it, you flaunt it!

Had a short meet-up with the 2 boys from Secondary School over Ben&Jerry's Ice Cream.
It's been 6 years since we last met in school!
Yes, time really flies (that's what I always say...)

Both the boys - Illhammi and Paul are now busy with the business they have came up with other shareholders.

Do give your support at their shop - EUROCUFFZ @ Orchard Central #02-06
Otherwise, view their website www.eurocuffz.com

Please do not mention my name as I'm no big shot to get indirect discounts for your purchases. LOL.

Headed down to Amara Santuary Resorts @ Sentosa.

It is Melissa's 21st birthday party!

ME and Meiru, with the outdoor bath-tub.
"If you got it, you flaunt it" party was held at one of the villa.

A bedroom, a living room, a swimming pool and outdoor shower area for $1200/night

Then again, no outside catering is allowed.
Either you bring your own food, or you employ the resort designated catering for your food. Of course, bringing your food is always a better and cost-effective method.

Meiru, birthday girl Melissa, Jiamin and Le Duan
And like the party theme goes, you "should" flaunt only if you got it.
Sad to say, we don't. Haha!

Like this pico taken of Meiru :)

Le Duan, Jiamin and Meiru

A badly taken shot of me by the pool. Haha! Damn.

Gorgeous looking birthday cake! NICE!

The best pico I've taken of the birthday girl and her boyfriend.

So nice and we can't bear to eat it... Haha!
I ate it in the end, after like, 3 minutes of hesitation.

Cabbed to town from Sentosa.
Pico taken at Hotel Royal Plaza on Scotts - "Alice in Wonderland" Christmas theme decorations at the lobby

Went to Zouk with Meiru and her friends shortly after :)
