I can vividly remember attending my primary school friend Wing Sze's birthday >10yrs ago at MacDonalds.
That's very long ago when I was still in round framed spectables with short hair.
Theresa decided to hold Jayvier's 1st birthday celebation nearby - Khatib MacDonalds.
Good choice made - given that the food and toys cater to both Adults and Children.
Self-decorated wall by the mummy herself.
Going through Chinese tradition - Theresa carrying Jayvier to step on the Ang Ku Kueh. Grandma was reciting some sentences in Hokkien - not exactly sure about the words - but it meant good positive future ahead upon stepping on the red Kueh.
I love what follows after the stepping of Ang Ku Kueh.
It is "Making Choices to Determine the Future" time.
Yes, part of a Chinese tradition as well.
By placing a number of items on the table for the child to choose from.
These items symbolised the future the child will be embarking on.
The below descriptions are purely based on my poor knowledge / memory, no 100% correct:
Abacus - good in Mathematics and can be accountant
Ruler - good in Measurement / Teaching
Pen - good in Writing
Book - good in Reading
Money - good in Finance
Food - be a chef?
Shermaine feeling very happy to join in the joyous occasion and had her Fillet O Fish burger.
The birthday cake which I think was ordered from the bakery in Ang Mo Kio.
The top layer of cake is of Lychee Martini flavour.
The bottom bigger layer is normal Black Forest cake.
See those figurines, even though I never liked Sesame Street, I thought the cake looked super cute!
