Singapore Flyer

Solemn lunch with DearBoy on Saturday.
Things between us didn't work out quite well lately.
Stress from school and work made me even worse.

RamenPlay @ Somerset313 serves delicious ramen.
Surprisingly, this Ramen shop is under the same boss of BreadTalk.

My Wafu Shoyu Ramen

His Sanpou Tonkotsu Ramen

After which, he headed home to rest as he was down with fever..

I joined my family members for an evening out together :)

Yes, my first time on the Singapore Flyer.
My aunt got discounted price and hence our whole big maternal family went for it.

What a statement!

Mummy and elder sister Jessica - no idea why the same cross-arm pose.

Me, who had lost 4kg at that point of time due to new braces..

Ah Gong and Ah Ma...

My younger sister Zhuangyi and ME, camwhoring with the sun set :)

The view on the other side of the cabin - F1 track I think?

Good to have chosen the right time to see on the Flyer - to catch the sunset.

My love - my Family

Cousins - Lucas and George - sunset mode on my casio camera

As the sky got darker during the 25+ minutes ride...
Our initial excitement towards the Singapore Flyer gradually disappeared...

First and Last time on the Singapore Flyer, I guess?

Dinner at Suntec - Soup Restaurant

The adults table

The must-order dish - white boiled chicken that goes very well with their home-made ginger sauce. The TEENAGERS table ordered 2 of this dish. *SLURPS*

The Chinese restaurant serves buffet lunch / dinner from price $35++ onwards.

Youngest and eldest sister, while waiting for the rest to arrive...

Mummy and I - I had lost 4kg due to the inconvenience the braces caused initially...

The rooftop - these look like TRAIN TUNNELS in movies...!
(I have never seen a real real one before, hence I relate to movies)

Chinese restaurant with the beautiful painting

Ala-carte buffet hence you can order anything you like...

Appetizers - the usual you have seen during wedding dinners

Roasted chicken - crispy skin; soft and tender chicken parts, and tasty gravy.

Ordered the typical dim sum to share...
From left clockwise: Siew Mai, Char Siew Bao, Carrot Cake, Deep fried prawn roll

Cute little rabbits - lotus paste buns

On the award-winning HELIX BRIDGE on a sorching sunny sunday.

Yep, can tell from my sister's eyes, SORCHING SUNNY SUNDAY!
There, you can see my previous office building in that cluster of office buildings in the background.

Such a hot day, we ended our exploration / touristy activities early...
Last shot for my sisters and mummy :)

Tea Break @ Old Town White Coffee Cafe

Always make an effort to enjoy a cup of Old Town white coffee in Genting..

Not now anymore as I can easily go to the outlet located at Orchard Cineleisure...

Then again, as compared to other such coffee places, Old Town loses out by serving ala-carte past 11am, which means to say, I have to order my favourite half-boiled eggs, coffee and toast separately. And that is way more expensive that what I can easily order a set at Ya Kun or Wang Cafe...

My "frosted" white coffee. Haha!

The strips of butter with the home-made kaya on the toasted bread...

DearBoy's nasi lemak which tasted so-so only....

Check out my right knee...
Covered in plaster because of a great fall I had at Raffles Place.

JK's Great Fall begins like this.............

1.50pm, rushing to reach office "slightly" earlier,
Was in my CNY heels (first time wearing to office though),
Chose not to walk on the construction board area and walk by the main road,
Was reaching the traffic junction and I stepped into a hole (i think),
Left ankle twisted and I fell, using my right knee to support my fall,
My cup of takeaway coffee flew out of the plastic handle, UNSPILLED.
I mumbled a loud "fuck" when I fell, in the midst of the lunch crowd,
No one came to help me, I picked up my unspilled coffee,
Pretended that nothing had happened and continued walking to office,
Ignored the pain and the bleeding wound during the walk.
DAMN.

My worst dream had happened - falling down in Central Business District in HEELS and SKIRT! All thanks to myself for posting an image of my new Pedro heels which is about 4 inches tall? Haha!

Dinner that evening was at The Astons @ Beach Road
A good meal before I go for my first braces tightening. Haha!

Goodbye Interns - Delphine and Mervin

They are 19, I am 22.
I was like them, having 5-month internship as part of the 3-year diploma course.
I was then in Credit Suisse.

There goes, my gossip partner Delphine................

F1 miniature car in meeting room

Delphine, Cynthia and Mervin

They home-made muffins (which tasted like brownies) for the whole team.
What have I given to the Euroclear team back then? I forgot :p

Sweet hand-written notes by them two:
Pardon me, can't seem to rotate the pico taken from iPhone 3GS, urgh.

Brought a camera with low-battery life. Thanks.
More pico found in FaceBook! :)

Making Way for the Metal

A surprising fast move taken by far....!

FaceBook in Changi Airport before flying off to KL one morning,
Saw my dear friend Meiru's status update - making way for metal,
Shocked by her sudden move as I have not hear this news from her,
Suggested to DearBoy and he agreed that I should go for it as well.
